Experience & Expertise

Now let’s talk about your experience and expertise

What is your field of expertise? And how many years of experience do you have in that field?
There is no single or simple answer to this question. I have always held many positions and trained many skills simultaneously. I also consider myself to always be in the training phase, no matter how long I’ve been at it.

Here’s a few….. Construction/Management of Residential/Commercial/Government Projects, Strategic Partnerships, Sculptor of Statuary, Affiliate Marketer, Website Designer, ICO Project Evaluation, Certified Wild-land Firefighter, Bodyguard/Driver for a Personal Massage Therapist. Then as an Entrepreneur, I discovered many more hats to wear.

Any relevant experience in that expertise in the non-blockchain area?
Everything I’ve ever taken the time to do well is relevant to everything else in some way. There is always a lesson to learn and take with you to the next experience.

What is your educational background? How did you achieve this level of expertise?
I skipped the Universities and student loans trap but I still continued to educate myself through Real Estate School, Some classes on Sociology and self taught more than I ever learned in all my years in school.

What is your experience as an Advisor/Mentor/Entrepreneur? What is your suggestion to the young generation to achieve your level of success?
This is a quote from an article I recently wrote about this topic… “

The life of an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. What does it take to succeed? It requires more than ambition and intelligence… It helps, of course, but it’s not enough. Were you the top of your class, best in show, undefeated, undisputed….? Sure those are all good qualities… However, I’ve seen extremely intelligent, motivated, highly skilled, cool, calm, and collected people give up on their goals at the first sign of adversity. The stronger ones can withstand a few hardships, but even they have given in to the voice of fear whispering in their ear to turn back. This happens often.

Be ready to be told NO! Be ready for your biggest supporters to turn into your biggest naysayers. Get ready to carry doubt on your back like a wet blanket that is constantly being saturated by the world raining negativity down on to you. These are the moments that define you. Your success as an entrepreneur is also decided in these moments. “

Blockchain & Cryptocurrency

Let’s dig a bit deep.

When did you first heard about blockchain or cryptocurrency? What was your first impression of it?
It was a little over three years ago. BTC was worth about $350 to $400. My first impression was confusion and curiosity.

Which was the first cryptocurrency you bought after bitcoin? Why that one?
Ethereum. Because it was worth about $2 or less and my brother said “this is the next big thing. Get as much as you can, now.”

Which was the first blockchain or cryptocurrency company you have worked/founded? How was your experience there?
The first was AffChain. Before the ICO boom. We worked on it for three months before the CEO decided to disband the team. He was heavily invested out of his own pocket. We were days from launching the ICO when the CEO realized that we weren’t ready and the market wasn’t either. He could’ve proceeded and easily raised multiple millions because this was the time when every ICO had money thrown at it just for being called an ICO. The fact that he called it off after paying 13-17 employees a nice salary every week for three months, from his own pocket, earned him my respect and loyalty as a friend for life. Not everyone in this industry is stricken with greed.

Any personal favourite blockchain company or cryptocurrency? Why?
Absolutely Not! I do not play the “My blockchain is better than your blockchain” game. I see strengths and pain points in all of them.

What advice would you give a person who is rekt and may likely leave the blockchain and crypto world due to losses?
I would tell them they only lost if they panicked and sold. Otherwise hang tight. Traditional markets investments take much longer to earn small gains. These investors have not held any coins for over a year. If they are complaining, they were looking to get rich quick and are part of the problem.

Which country are you from? And how is blockchain & crypto doing in there from a legal point of view?
The USA. We are currently stifled by vague laws that don’t apply and legislatures that move slower than molasses and feds that are stubborn and refuse change.

What is the best achievement you had in the Crypto/Blockchain World?
Introducing it to my son when he was ten years old while building a platform with the purpose of introducing blockchain to every other kid in the world.

Any quotes to live by?
Sooo Many.

1.) I’m only interested in everything. ~ CB
2.) It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain all possibilities without fully buying in to any of them. ~ Aristotle
3.) The only path I ever want to see for the rest of my life is when I turn around to see how far I’ve come ~ CB
4.) More cowbell!

Any message you want to share with the crypto community?
Ladies… Gentlemen. Boys and girls. We have the opportunity here to change the world. We need to, as a community, stop the greed and stop the blockchain wars. Each and every one of us needs to focus on how we are going to create value and contribute. From the smallest idea that might help one person, place or thing to the magnum opus of disruption, we all matter. We can do this together if we can manage to keep imaginary lines (borders) and fear of trivial differences (hate) out of the equation.

Lastly, one more excerpt from another article that is relevant to this question. Because this is how I truly feel about our crypto community…

“A little over three years ago, I fell in love with blockchain technology. Everything about it was captivating and still to this day, I have the same spellbound passion for it. Mostly, it was the activism and opportunity that it presented that enchanted me. Then, I discovered the blockchain community. What a tribe this was! The discovery of this group of enthusiastic innovators that spanned the entire globe was, to me, the equivalent of being blind my entire life and then suddenly someone flipped on a light switch that made me realize I wasn’t blind I was just living in the dark.” ~ CB
